About Me

Compassionate care rooted in clinical excellence

Zahra Psychology was founded with a vision of offering accessible, thoughtful, and culturally sensitive therapy grounded in clinical excellence and rooted in compassion.

I'm Dr Zahra Samih, a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with specialist training and experience working with children, young people, families, and adults. I bring a calm, curious, and non-judgmental presence to my work, creating space for clients to explore even the most difficult or vulnerable parts of their experiences.

Alongside my clinical work, I hold a deep appreciation for the role of faith, culture, and spirituality in psychological wellbeing. For those who value it, I welcome the integration of religious identity, spiritual meaning, and personal beliefs into the therapeutic process.

My Therapeutic Approach

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, respectful, and integrative. I draw on evidence-based models including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help you understand and change unhelpful thought patterns
  • Systemic Therapy for working relationally and understanding patterns in relationships
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for building psychological flexibility and values-based living
  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) for developing self-compassion and emotional regulation

Whether you're coming to therapy with clear goals or simply a sense that something isn't quite right, I aim to provide a warm, grounded, and non-judgmental space where we can make sense of your experiences together.

I also welcome and value conversations around faith, spirituality, and identity, recognising how these can shape and support psychological wellbeing.
